With millions of customers having over 20 devices connected to Alexa, the task of managing these devices can be daunting. French admitted that even he struggles with finding a specific device from a long list in the app. He said, "We knew we had to make it easier". The Map View feature is Amazon's answer to this problem.

Despite its obvious benefits, the feature does raise some privacy concerns. However, Amazon has reassured users that the Map View feature is designed with privacy in mind. It is an opt-in feature, meaning users have complete control over whether they want to use it. Furthermore, users have the authority to decide which rooms are added to their floor plan and can delete their floor plan at any time.

The Map View feature will be rolled out later this year in the U.S. on select phones.
